Welcome to Boulder

Nestled alongside the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the City of Boulder was founded in 1858 by prospectors lured to the area by Colorado’s Gold Rush. Today, an array of local ordinances protects the city’s exquisite natural beauty and open spaces, while numerous local historic districts preserve the city’s exceptional architecture. Boulder’s 108,250 residents take full advantage of the 60 parks, 155 miles of hiking trails, and close proximity to so many of the best ski areas in the country.

Boulder presents a diverse range of housing options, catering to various preferences and budgets. From stately historic homes and luxurious multimillion-dollar modern marvels to modest townhomes and cozy apartments, the city offers a spectrum of residential choices. With an extensive selection of neighborhoods, each with its own distinct vibe, Boulder provides options for urban, suburban, rural, and mountain living, ensuring that residents can find the perfect setting to call home.

Boulder’s unique blend of a highly educated workforce, a vibrant startup ecosystem, and lifestyle appeal also attracts tech companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Apple. The presence of the University of Colorado Boulder, together with tech incubators and accelerators, fuels innovation and collaborative opportunities within this community.

In addition to Boulder’s tech scene and in line with Boulder’s reputation for health and wellness, it’s no surprise that several feel-good food brands are based in Boulder, including Celestial Seasonings, Horizon Organic, Justin’s, Udi’s, and Ancient Harvest.
